We offer skip bins in the following sizes: 2m³, 4m³, 6m³, 8m³, and hook bins in 10m³ and 12m³. The size you need depends on the type and volume of waste. If you’re unsure, our team can help you choose the right size for your project.

2. How much does it cost to hire a skip bin?

Our pricing is simple: the cost is $70 multiplied by the size of the bin. For example, a 2m³ bin costs $140 per week, and a 4m³ bin costs $280 per week. Larger hook bins are also available at the same rate, with a 10m³ bin priced at $700 per week.

3. What can I put in a skip bin?

You can dispose of general household waste, garden waste, construction debris, and furniture. We accept most materials, but certain items like hazardous waste are not allowed (see below).

4. What can’t I put in a skip bin?

You cannot place hazardous materials such as asbestos, chemicals, paints, gas bottles, or batteries in the skip bin. For more information on prohibited items, please contact our team.

5. How long can I hire the skip bin?

Our standard hire rate is based on a Four days rate. You can hire the skip bin for as long as you need, and we can arrange flexible pick-up and delivery dates to suit your schedule.

6. Can I overfill the skip bin?

No, for safety reasons, skip bins must not be overfilled. The waste should not exceed the top of the bin, as overfilled bins can be hazardous during transport and may result in additional fees.

7. What happens to the waste I dispose of?

At Skippy, we prioritise responsible waste management. After collection, your waste is sorted, and as much as possible is recycled or repurposed, reducing the amount sent to landfill.

8. How do I arrange for delivery and pickup?

You can select your desired delivery and pickup dates when booking your skip bin. If your plans change, just give us a call, and we can adjust the schedule accordingly.
